Maybe you remember my obsession months ago with making string art?
A Christmas/birthday gift for my sister-in-law!
Here’s how it all went down:
1. Pre-made board from Lowe’s.
2. Minwax wood stain (Early American 230).
3. A husband who can illustrate the world (thank you!!!)
4. Tap shallow holes around map to make a path.
5. Remove map, add nails.
6. Wrap string for ages, tie, snip, tuck in extra string, done!
Merry Christmas, all!!
That looks amazing! I hope your sister-in-law enjoyed it!

Can you tell me where you printed the map from?

Great question! My husband is a graphic designer and illustrated the map for me. You could find any similar map by Googling and printing it at a higher percent (e.g., 150% instead of 100%).

What is the size of your wood board? And how large are the pages you printed it on?!

Nikki, the board is 24×36 and the pages were each 11×17. Great question!
