Okay, so this is really a plug for the adorable, artsy city of Lancaster, PA. Believe it or not, there is more to this area than Amish buggies and cows. Take Lancaster City. The main routes in and out are filled with little local shops, art galleries, coffee shops and restaurants. Nate and I have only explored a tiny bit of the area since moving into the city a year ago.
For those of you who occasionally travel to the area (or come visit me!) here’s a favorite of mine — the Central Market in downtown Lancaster. So many local stands that have everything from produce to soft pretzels to loose leaf tea!
We settle for our house on Tuesday, so Nate and I spent a bit of time at the market the past few Saturdays since it won’t be nearly as convenient to go after this. I picked up a few oz. of loose leaf from The Herb Shop to take with me and keep me stocked for a while. An oz., by the way, will fill about two small jars and costs 1.50 to 1.75 depending on your flavor. Not a bad deal!
Whip up a couple labels, attach to the jars and you’ve got yourself a nice little tea collection started – or a sweet Christmas gift for a tea lover you know!
